Week One - Farmer John is my friend.

So the most challenging part of my CSA box so far is trying to figure out new and different ways to eat all of my vegetables. I have REALLY found myself relying on my Local Thyme subscription, a few good cookbooks, and of course, the internet. Pinterest and AllRecipes.com have been huge sources of ideas!

I have recently been introduced to the joy that is a used bookstore. SERIOUSLY - being able to buy books for 2-6 dollars apiece might just change my world. This is not just a non-sequitur, the last time I walked into my favorite used bookstore in Evanston, I met Farmer John. Have you met Farmer John?? Well let me introduce you!

Farmer John and his cookbook originate out of another large farm that offers CSA shares in my region. As soon as I realized that it was chock full of great resources to help me store and use my veggies, I said, "3 dollars? SOLD!"

I am excited to add this book to my growing list of food resources....LOVE FOOD.

This delicious salad came straight from Farmer John! I love having so much left over to enjoy the rest of the week!
